I am currently sitting at the International terminal in Bangkok airport on my laptop tapped into one of the unsecured wireless networks that they have around here and they have the nets. YES!!! Never have I been so fortunate and never ever have I loved my laptop more than now.
I am currently at what would be called the second stage of my trip back home to Australia coming from Koh Samui off Thailand. So far I've gotten up at 4am (local time) to get to the airport by 5am to catch my 6am flight to Bangkok where I currently am. What's left however is the real kicker. From here I am going to Macau where I then get into a previously arranged car, thanks to my dad, which will take me to the Macau ferry terminal. This should be around 2pm local time. I will then catch the ferry to Hong Kong in which I then catch a cab to the central train station, catch the train to the Airport and then finally get home to Australia some time tomorrow morning since the flight from Hong Kong doesn't leave until about 11pm local time. I know all the local times don't exactly make it easy to understand the extent I am travelling but put it this way. I will have been travelling for around 27hrs to get from Koh Samui to Brisbane, with the biggest layover being in Hong Kong for about 7 hrs. Not ideal but if I can tap into a wireless network there I will be completely set. I can now only hope for a powerpoint to plug my laptop into :S
On the plus side, should that fail, I have enough electronic gizmos on me to keep me entertained for the next two weeks :P

*sigh* Whilst I hate the notion of a live action Dragonball as its inevitable as the fucking tides that they will screw it up....I'm still gonna end up seeing it.

After spending 2.5 odds weeks overseas and suffering through some tiny tiny WoW withdrawals, I'm now back into it and loving it. Thanks to me now running around in as a tanking druid, getting into groups for heroics has never been easier and the badges are piling.
That's not to say that I didn't work hard to get to where I currently am. I spent a lot of time and effort working out what was the best tanking gear pre-naxx and pre heroic and worked my arse off trying to ensure I had them. I am now currently at the stage where the only upgrades for me now will come from doing raid instances, a place I am very comfortable being in.
But with the upcoming 3.0.8 patch, some of my hard work may be undone. As many WoW players are aware, particularly druids, the armor multiplier that we cherished will no longer apply to items that are not cloth or leather i.e weapons, trinkets, rings, cloaks and neckpieces. WoW is of course compensating us druid tanks with an increase to our armor through the survival of the fittest talent.
However one thing that still concerns me is the armor on formally druid staves. I've heard conflicting reports on whether or not armor will be removed entirely from the staves and this is an annoyance when it comes to my planning my future weapons while I'm currently raiding Naxx.
IF armor is to remain and just not be under the effect of the multiplier, as you can see here, Origin of Nightmares or Staff of the Plague Beast are the only real other options as tanking weapons because as a druid, I will still take some armor over crit or expertise anyday. If however armor is removed completely, any of those other weapons are now an option with obvious priority on The Undeath Carrier as the ultimate.
On another similar note, the Enraged Feral Staff which has armor on it was going to be replaced with the Staff of Trickery for tanking. However if the armor on such weapons still remain, then I may have to rethink my plans because 700 armor may still be worth the loss of 11 Agi and 16 Str and the increase in AP.
I will be downloading and gaining access to the PTR tonight so I can take a look at the true impact of what will happen and will most likely be regularly checking until the day the patch comes out.
I'm actually almost hoping that they do remove the armor from staves because whilst it means that every person who can use a staff will be going after them, it will give the druid tank a wide variety of weapons to choose from when it comes to being the uber tank.

This is going to be short and sweet.
There is one thing I have learned in all my time working where I do and it is this.
People should stop caring about every little thing that happens to every single person in this world
The care factor of a person should be kept minimal like to friends and family, not to every single tiny issue facing the world, like religion or being eco-friendly.
Caring about little keeping life simple. Simple is good. You can't fuck it up.

Would it really be terribly unethical if the Qld Govt put recycled water in the drinking supply? Then a year down the track they can bring together a media conference. Anna Bligh: "We would like to announce today that for a year now, you have all been drinking recycled sewage water. HA!! And none of you noticed anything. Ha ha ha!!"
Course it would never happen because at some point a scientist would end up studying the water, look at conflicting reports and come to a 'horrible' conclusion. Scientist: "What the? This isn't right. The only way this could happen is..... oh no. Oh NO!!!!"

Many things happened to the druid in the 3.0.8 patch for World of Warcraft so let me briefly run through some of the ups and downs.
Firstly they got rid of the multiply armor bonus from anything thats not cloth or leather that we druids get when we go into before form. ( I avoided saying plate or mail because we can't use it and if we did we would be the best tanks in all of existance.) This is ok because despite this and thanks to the increased armor we get through the Survival of the Fittest talent. I actually ended up 2000 armor up.
Secondly they removed feral attack from all weapons. But from the point of view of the druid it still says increases AP for you in animal form by X so we don't really notice all that much.
Thirdly and boy do I hate them for this, they removed the +75 stam enchant for 2h weapons which means I'm still running around with the best damn tanking staff of the game(oh yeah forgot to meantion that. Origin of Nightmares FTW!) with a measly mongoose enchant on it. Whilst that does enchant does serve some purpose, I would have prefered the stam one but it was "too good" according to Blizzard. So what that means is that there are STILL no decent enchants for a 2h weapon for a tank such as myself. A friend of mine suggested that I might put on accuracy to start building up my threat generation, and whilst that is still important. I am of the mind that I should be harder to hit that a shooting a fly with a shotgun before amping up my hit. I realise a lot of what I said was QQ but screw it, its the only thing I've been annoyed about so far in the entire WotLK game so I think I've earned the right to take a shotgun and aim it at Blizzards nuts.

Posted from the Blizzard forums regarding the removal of the Titanguard weapon enchant. i.e +75stam.
Had this enchant gone live it would have become THE enchant for nearly all tanks. It would not have been an interesting choice. We would have had to keep introducing higher tiers of the same enchant, or else players would just keep using this version for perpetuity. We put Stamina already on many items. We don't think your weapon needs one as well. I received messages from several tanks for very prominent guilds asking us to please not go forward with this enchant. They understood why it was bad for the game.
Death knights have access to superior enchants in part because they do not have a shield or ranged weapon slot and the stats provided by those items.
The PTR is for testing. If you find yourself frustrated that things change between the PTR and live, I would suggest you stop paying attention to the PTR notes. Even if a change like this had already gone live, we probably would have changed it anyway. We did not like what this enchant would have done for the game.
I really can understand that. Maybe I will take another look at that hit enchant.

My guild runs with DKP and with each item having a DKP price. If you want something, you put your hand up and whoever has the most amount of DKP will get the item and that is deducted from their total.
Two nights ago the T7 leggings dropped from Gluth and I was jumping up and down because despite having the 10man version, i wanted the 25man for obvious reasons. However also running with us is a rogue, who has only recently hit level 80 and is still running around in BC epics and blues. Now because of rogues and druid being placed in the same group for tier loot, I was instantly placed in a position of whether or not too put my hand up for the item. I am of the belief that if something is a major upgrade for someone, I will let them have it if the upgrade for me is minor enough. Needless to say T7 10man legs to T7 25 man legs was a very small upgrade and as such I was willing to let him have them. That was until every other person who could use those leggings started bidding. Due to only really just starting, I knew his DKP would be low and would be beaten by everyone else so I put my hand up and won the leggings. Fortunatly the person I beat was running around in another epic pair of pants so I didn't mind taking them so much.
Last night the Thrusting Bands dropped off Noth the Plaguebringer and I was really jumping up and down then. These for me are the ultimate tanking bracers for a druid and I was quite excited to see them and quickly stuck my hand up for them. However the aforementioned rogue also stuck his hand up. I quickly asked him what he had and he informed me that he was running around in BT wrists; at which point I withdrew and allowed him to have them, something he was quite thankful for.
These are two situations in which sometimes you really have to think about whether or not someone elses need for the item is greater than your own desire for it. I'm curious as to how many people take such things into consideration when they bid or roll or whatever it is they do to get an item. Maybe I'm just thinking about this too much.
