With the arrival of patch 3.1 for World of Warcraft, the game has brand new content and mechanics to explore. I myself am greatly looking forward to checking out the Argent Tournament as well as the new VOA boss and Ulduar. And can I say, this patch couldn't have come quick enough.

In my guild we have defeated all content except for Sarth with 3 drakes up and I am not surprised by this. But the fact of the matter is whilst I read online that people are struggling with 10man naxx and may not have enjoyed all the content, I am thankful at being having something new to explore.

When vanilla WoW came out, I didn't get onto it very early. In fact i raised a hunter to level 55 and then stopped. A few months later and I started a warlock up which I loved and by the time BC came out, it had just hit 60 and was ready to go straight into Outland. Throughout BC, I was always behind in the content so that when the new patch came out, I was still working on easier raiding content. When wrath came out, the guild was still working through BT and didn't even touch the last boss of Mt Hyjal. So through all my WoW experience, I haven't really had a chance to hit a brick wall in regards to finding new stuff to do. There was always something awaiting me just beyond where I was.

But now, I am at that brick wall. I had no expectation on my guild to to Sarth + 3 purely because we don't have a DK tank, an element considered by most guilds as crucial in the defeat of that particular instance. I'm not needing any new gear either because I have been fortunate enough to get the best gear I can get for my druid tank. I find myself very fortunate to be in such a position that still doesn't prevent the fact that there is nothing new for me.

So I have been working on my alts, my shammy has been retrained to be an inscriber and has enjoyed some Naxx and Sarth content. I have a lovely level 46 pally which I have been powerlevelling thanks to Blizzards lets get people to 70 fast changes. My druid has even found some time to enjoy some PVP and build up a boomkin set for the new duel spec feature.

But at the end of the day, I'm glad 3.1 is here. It's new, it'll challenge me (hopefully) and most of all, it demolishes that brick wall and lays down the new road. Onwards!!!
